King Stephen and his wife Queen Matilda and their son Eustace are all buried in Faversham Abbey, Kent, but the exact location is not known - the abbey was demolished in 1538, but with the discovery of Richard III in a Leicestershire car park - attention has now turned to Faversham!  The site of the Abbey is currently a grammar school. Faversham is an historic town with over 500 listed buildings.

Trains from London to Faversham take on average 1 hour and 12 minutes, fastest train 1 hour and 2 minutes; departing from Victoria Station and St Pancras International - buying a rail ticket in advance may reduce the cost by 50%. (Faversham railway station is a few minutes walk from the town centre.)
