Bronze Statue of Sir Isaac Newton (one of the most influential scientists of all time) - King James II
There is a bronze statue by Eduardo Paolozzi - 12-foot-high (which shows Newton sitting down - bending over and pointing a compass) that is situated outside the British Library, Euston Road, and was commissioned by the British Library.
It was during King James II’s reign that Isaac Newton published ‘Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy’ in 1687.
