Eton College - King Henry VI

Henry founded ‘The King’s College of Our Lady of Eton’ (there is a statue of Henry VI in the schoolyard).

Eton College was initially designed for 70 students - and it was King Henry VI, who paid for their education, today approximately 1,300 students attend the College.  Eton has produced 20 Prime Ministers and the Museum of Eton Life details many famous Etonians.

(It is a 20-minute walk from Windsor Castle to Eton College.)  The College provides guided tours (May - September).

The two closest stations are Windsor and Eton Riverside and Windsor and Eton Central (10 to 20-minute walk to the College - via bridge and High Street).

South Western Railway provides direct services from London’s Waterloo Station to Windsor and Eton Riverside Station - train journey varies from 50 minutes to 1 hour (depending on stops).
