Hever Castle, Kent - King Henry VIII
Hever Castle was the seat of the Boleyn’s, for more than 700 years, they were a very prominent aristocratic family (Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII). The gatehouse built in 1270 is the oldest part of the castle. William Waldorf Astor invested in restoring the castle, which has been open to the public since 1983.
Trains run from London Bridge Station to Hever (direct), journey time about 40 minutes.
Entrance fee for adults £19.20 includes castle and gardens, children £10.90.
