There is also a statue of Alfred the Great at the Royal Courts of Justice - there are three statues together: King Alfred, Jesus Christ and Solomon (entrance - main gates).
Hyde Abbey, Winchester
This is the burial place of King Alfred the Great, Ealhswith (wife) and Edward the Elder (son). The abbey was demolished in 1538 upon the instructions of King Henry VIII, and all that remains is the gatehouse.
