It was during King James II’s reign that Isaac Newton published ‘Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy’ in 1687. Sir Isaac Newton was buried in Westminster Abbey on 20th March 1727; and there is a monument to him to the north of the entrance of the choir in the Abbey.

There is a bronze statue by Eduardo Paolozzi which is 12 feet in height (which shows Newton bending over pointing a compass) that is outside the British Library, Euston Road, it was commissioned by the British Library. The nearest tube stations are St Pancras International and King's Cross Station.
