Leicester Cathedral (Church of St Martin) Tomb of King Richard III
Leicester Cathedral is rich in history and has been a place of worship for over 900 years and in 2015, the remains of King Richard III were reinterred in the Cathedral - which was watched by over 600 million people around the world. (King Charles I visited the Cathedral in 1634 and 1642.)
Admission – free. Guided tours available; allow 1-2 hours.
Trains regularly leave St Pancras station (London to Leicester) the fastest taking 1 hr 2 mins, it is a 15-minute walk from Leicester train station to the Cathedral (which is in the city centre).
