Bolingbroke Castle - King Henry IV

King Henry IV was also known as Henry Bolingbroke (born in the castle). Bolingbroke Castle, Lincolnshire, is an English Heritage site with beautiful surroundings of the castle ruins, steeped in history and information boards providing detailed accounts of the castle’s history; admission is free and during the summertime many events take place there - such as Shakespeare performances.
