King William I, built Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world.
The castle covers an area of 13 acres; roughly 500 people work in the castle. The castle is surrounded by Great Windsor Park - which provides a magnificent setting.
Trains depart from Waterloo Station (direct) to Windsor & Eton Riverside and take approximately 50 minutes. Also, from Paddington Station (2 changes) to Windsor & Eton Riverside - approximately 40 minutes.
It is a 10-minute walk from the railway station to the castle. Trains normally run every 20 minutes.
