Queen Victoria - Albert Bridge
Opened 23rd August 1873 (crosses The River Thames)
In 1860 Prince Albert (Prince Consort - husband of Queen Victoria) suggested a new toll bridge. The bridge connects Battersea with Chelsea and is a fine example of Victorian bridge architecture; 400 bulbs illuminate it at night.
Sloane Square and South Kensington are the nearest tube stations. (About a 16 minute walk from either tube station.)
